Final assembly line and NH90 production workshare



A defined workshare is allocated to each participating company :

AGUSTA (Italy) :
- has a final assembly line for the production of the Italian and Dutch TTHs and NFHs.
- is responsible for the main gear box, hydraulic system, automatic flight control system, plant management system, NFH (naval) mission systems integration, GTV ground test vehicle, PT5 prototype final assembly and flight testing. They are also responsible for the qualification of the second engine installation (T700).

EUROCOPTER (France) :
- has a final assembly line for the production of the French TTHs and NFHs, plus German NFHs.
- develops the forward fuselage, cockpit, power plant, rotors, tail gear box, electrical system, flight control system, core avionic system. They are responsible for the final assembly and flight testing of the PT1, PT2, PT3 prototypes.

EUROCOPTER DEUTSCHLAND (Germany) :
- has a final assembly line for the production of the German TTHs.
- looks after the center and rear fuselage, fuel system, communication system, display and control unit (BUS controller), common mission systems, TTH (tactical transport) mission systems integration, PT4 prototype final assembly and flight testing.

OGMA (Portugal) :
- proces aiframe parts, cables, interior fittings, the radome and engine installation parts.

PATRIA (Finland) :
- has a final assembly line for the production of its TTHs and NFH for Finland, Norway and Sweden.

FOKKER (The Netherlands) :
- is responsible for the tail structure doors and sponsons, landing gear, intermediate gear box, windtunnel testing.

SAAB (Sweden) :
- is responsible of the TMS (Tactical Mission System) for the Swedish machines. More precisely, Saab is on charge of the production and integration of systems computers, digital maps, registration equipment, transponders ans tactical radar. Saab will also produce about two-thirds of forward fuselages.

KONGSBERG (Norway) :
- is responsibe of the design, development and test of the NH90 cockpit floor in CFC/Nomex core.
-
products the rotor head sleeves for NH90 helicopters chosen by the Nordic countries.

HAI (Hellenic Aerospace Industries) :
- is responsible for the manufacture of rear ramps of the NH90 helicopter.

Australian Aerospace (Eurocopter subsidiary company) :
- is responsible for the final assembly of the MRH-90 (the Australian NH90 helicopters)..

Final assembly line : distribution of the productions

In November 2004, 4 assembly lines are operational :
- one in Marignane (Eurocopter France, France),
- one in Vergiate (Agusta, Italy),
- one in Donauwörth (Eurocopter Deutschland, Germany),
- one in Halli (Patria, Finland).
